marks the grammatical subject; introduces new information.
Connection rules
- ＋Noun + が
- ＋Use が with stative predicates: 日本語が分かります, コーヒーが好きです.
- ＋In response to a question word subject, answer with が: Who came? — 田中さんが来ました.
