Connection rules
- +ここ/そこ/あそこ/どこ + copula or particle
- +あそこ is irregular: it's あそこ, not 'あこ' or 'ああこ'.
- +The more polite and abstract directional forms こちら/そちら/あちら/どちら are taught as a separate point.

ここは学校です。

Koko wa gakkou desu.
This is a school. (here is a school)
