(Kara)

because / since ___.

Connection rules

  • Clause (plain or polite) + から. Usually plain is used when the main clause is also plain, and polite for polite.
  • から is more subjective/assertive than ので.
  • Can appear at the end of a sentence as an explanation: だから ('that's why').
