Grammar list

(I)

い-adjective non-past (affirmative).

Connection rules

  • Stem + い (e.g., 高い, 新しい, 美味しい)
  • Do not use だ or です as a copula with い-adjectives; です after an い-adjective is purely a politeness marker.
  • いい ('good') is irregular in past and negative forms — see i-adjective-negative and i-adjective-past.
