Connection rules
- ＋Noun + だけ; Number/counter + だけ (一つだけ 'just one'). Can follow or replace case particles.
- ＋Neutral register — contrast with ばかり which is emphatic/critical.
- ＋With numbers or counters, expresses 'just X much': 一人だけ ('just one person'), 少しだけ ('just a little').
