(Oru)

The humble form of the verb 'to exist' or 'to be' (iru), used for oneself or one's group.

Connection rules

  • Replacement for いる (iru)
  • Verb (te-form) + おる for continuous actions

Examples

午後ごごまで会社かいしゃにおります。

Gogo go ji made kaisha ni ori masu.

I will be at the office until five PM.

ただいま、田中たなか外出がいしゅつしております。

Tadaima, tanaka ha gaishutsu shi te ori masu.

Tanaka is currently out of the office.
