(You ni)

Indicates a purpose or goal, often involving a change or a non-volitional state.

Connection rules

  • Verb (Dictionary form) + ように
  • Verb (ない-form) + ように
  • Often used with potential or stative verbs

Examples

うしろのひとにもこえるように、おおきなこえはなしました。

Ushiro no hito ni mo kikoeru you ni, ookina koe de hanashi mashi ta.
