てほしい
(Te hoshii)
Used to express a desire for someone else to perform an action.
Connection rules
- ＋Person に + Verb (て-form) + ほしい
- ＋Person に + Verb (ない-form) + でほしい
Examples
1.
あなたに私の話を聞いてほしい。
Anata ni watashi no hanashi wo kii te hoshii.
I want you to listen to my story.
