Connection rules
- ＋V volitional (〜よう / 〜おう) + と. Often with interrogatives: 誰が〜ようと, 何を〜ようと.
- ＋Formal / literary concessive.
- ＋Common with interrogatives: 誰が何と言おうと ('no matter what anyone says').
