Connection rules
- ＋Plain-form clause / noun (+ だ) + とすれば / とすると / としたら.
- ＋Hypothetical assumption — 'assuming X, then Y'.
- ＋Three variants: とすれば (slightly more formal), とすると (neutral), としたら (slightly more conversational).
Examples
1.
もし雨が降るとすれば、どうしますか。
Moshi ame ga furu to sure ba, dou shi masu ka.
Supposing it rains, what will you do?
