- ＋V-た + ところで + (usually negative main clause).
- ＋Futility / resignation — the main clause usually expresses 'no matter what, nothing changes'.
- ＋Distinct from 〜たところ (N3 aspectual 'just did') and 〜たところが (unexpected contrast).
Examples

今さら謝ったところで、許してもらえない。
Imasara ayama ta tokoro de, yurushi te morae nai.
Even if you apologize now, you won't be forgiven.
