Connection rules
- ＋V ます-stem + そうにない (neutral) / そうもない (slightly more emphatic). Irregular: いい → よさそうにない (rare).
- ＋Appearance-based negation — no sign of X happening.
- ＋そうもない is slightly more emphatic than そうにない.

雨が降りそうにない。
Ame ga furi sou ni nai.
