Connection rules

  • V ます-stem + そびれる (conjugates as ichidan: そびれます, そびれた).
  • Missed opportunity — implies the speaker meant to but didn't.
  • Common with communication and travel verbs: 言う, 聞く, 行く, 会う, 帰る.
