Connection rules
- ＋V plain / i-adj + 以上(は); na-adj + である + 以上(は); noun + である + 以上(は).
- ＋The premise justifies an obligation or expectation in the main clause.
- ＋Common in commitment contexts: 約束した以上、守らなければならない ('since I promised, I must keep it').
