Connection rules
- ＋V ない-stem + ずもがな. Most common: 言わずもがな.
- ＋Literary / classical — 'better left undone / unsaid'.
- ＋Almost exclusively in fixed phrases, most commonly 言わずもがな.
Examples

言わずもがなのことを言ってしまった。
Iwazumogana no koto o i te shima ta.
I said something that would have been better left unsaid.
