Connection rules
- +Noun + とあっては; plain-form clause + とあっては.
- +Conditional case-making — 'if it's a case of X, then Y'.
- +Close to 〜とあれば (covered at N2) — とあっては is slightly more insistent.
Examples

緊急事態とあっては、すぐ駆けつけなければならない。
