Connection rules
- ＋V plain + 折(に); noun + の + 折(に).
- ＋Formal 'on the occasion of' — more polite than とき or 際.
- ＋Common in polite correspondence: お近くにお越しの折には ('when you come near us').
Examples

O chikaku ni okoshi no ori ni wa, o yori kudasai.
